Final Magazine
This week, I worked on finishing my overall magazine. I added a price to the cover of my magazine and put 2 for 1 on the cover to persuade people to want to buy my magazine. On my table of contents I arranged the text around to make sure it was in the perfect spot to be able to see and understand my table of contents. On my final two page spread, I wrote my story and added it picture with on photoshop. Last but not least, after a lot of hard work and time, I put these 3 things (cover, table of contents, and two page spread) onto a pdf in order.

This week I have been working on my two page spread by typing my story out in the write font, finding the right picture for it, and making sure the overall layout is correct.

Fishing Trip
On a hot and sunny afternoon, with a good breeze, I was headed to go fishing at one of my mom’s friend’s house. I gathered my pole, fishing bag, and three baits. I then put snacks in my bag and cranked up my truck. After preparing things I needed for this trip, I was on my way to catch me a big one today with three special baits at hand.
As soon as I arrived at the fishing spot, I headed down toward the pond in a field. I was suddenly spooked by black horse in the field. I began to think to myself this day isn’t going to be very good. Well, I got over my act and began to fish. I tied on a white spinner bait, using a fisherman’s knot, and made a cast. The bait was very bright in the water and was spinning quickly. Within five minutes, I set the hook with a lot of force on a huge bass. I had never felt one fight like this one did. After two minutes of wrestling the fish, I finally saw the size of this monster and flipped it up on the bank. My adrenaline was very high at the time, and I became filled with joy. I ended up measuring the weight of this bad boy as 6lbs. 45 oz. I had never seen anything this big, so I took a picture with the fish and let him free. I started to make more casts out along the banks, catching fish left and right. I ended up catching 10 bass off this bait, one of them being my personal best. This bait was grabbing the fish’s attention like no other.
Later, I switched to a Texas rig worm. It is a quick and simple technique to fish one of the most productive bass lures; the plastic worm. In the original Texas Rig, I rigged the worm on the hook and pinned it back into the body of the worm to make it weedless and put a bullet weight on the line ahead of the hook. After tying on this worm, I made a cast into a bunch of brush in the water. I popped the worm up and down three times, and a giant bass smoked the worm. I immediately set the hook, the brother barn way which is where you yank up on the pole as hard as you can. I knew this fish was coming off because it rose to the surface on its side and reeled it in. It was another big fish, being a 5lbs. 5 oz bass. Since, my first cast in the brush was a success. I threw there multiple times, and caught 8 bass from that spot.
As it got closer to dark time, I tied on a frog, using a polymer man knot. I popped the frog four times from about 15 yards out and a 4 pound bass absolutely destroyed this frogged. I set the hook the same way I always do and reeled it for another cast. After about six more casts, I had five more bass blow up on my frog. I thought in my head man what a day! I had caught 24 bass from this pond in to hours, catching three decent fish. I’m here to tell you, this is the Brother Barn way to fish and have a heck of a time by using these 3 baits and a key hook-set.
